Accessibility Statement
Heard is committed to making restaurant discovery, planning, and the Heard website usable by people with disabilities.
Last updated: August 16, 2026
This statement covers the Heard website and the Heard iOS app currently in exclusive beta. Accessibility work is ongoing, and beta features may change before public release.
Our accessibility goal
Heard aims to align the website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and to use Apple’s accessibility technologies and platform conventions in the iOS app. This is a goal, not a claim that every page or beta feature has been independently audited or fully conforms.
Measures Heard is taking
- Using semantic page structure, descriptive headings, labels, and alternative text.
- Supporting keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus on the website.
- Maintaining readable text contrast and layouts that adapt to smaller screens and zoom.
- Respecting reduced-motion preferences for nonessential website animation.
- Designing iOS controls to work with Apple accessibility features, including VoiceOver and Dynamic Type, as development permits.
- Reviewing accessibility feedback during beta testing and including accessibility in future design and quality checks.
Known limitations
Because Heard is in beta, some screens, custom app controls, live demonstrations, maps, restaurant images, third-party web content, and the demonstration video may not yet have complete labels, descriptions, captions, transcripts, or assistive-technology testing. Third-party restaurant, map, WebKit, and Apple content may also have limitations outside Heard’s control.
Compatibility
The website is designed for current versions of major browsers on desktop and mobile. The Heard app is designed for supported iPhone and iOS versions identified at release. Results may vary with older browsers, operating systems, or assistive technologies.
Request an accessible format or assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need information in another accessible format, or need help completing an action, contact Heard. Please include the page or feature, your device and software version, the assistive technology used, and the problem encountered. Do not include passwords or unnecessary health information.

Feedback and response
Heard will review accessibility feedback in good faith, prioritize barriers based on severity and impact, and communicate available alternatives or planned improvements when possible. If an immediate technical fix is not available, Heard will try to provide the information or service through a reasonable alternative method.
